Yet another post in the wrong spot:

Don't treat your consumers like that!

1. If you say that you have assorted varieties of bagel on sale, half a refrigerator case of "The Works" variety (you know, the kind with garlic + onion + poppy seed + onion + etc.) and one bag of plain does not fulfill your obligation.
2. Someone put Sarah Michelle Gellar in an ugly dress for the WB spots advertising Buffy's new season. An awful multi-colored metallic shell. It might have had spots, too, I'm not sure.

Don't Look Straight Ahead!
I've been suffering from hysterical blindness off and on all day. I just read the MightyBigTV review of the episode of Buffy where Oz comes back. They suggest we see Spike in a codpiece, strumming a lute, singing "My Way". The vision, in typical inexplicable vision behavior, has seriously entranced me.

Look at the Picture!
I've seen two movies this weekend, one horrendous and one excellent.

The bad movie was Wild, Wild West. It was bad, horrid, execrable. It was a fun bad movie, but if I had paid to see it in theatres (or just rented it on videotape with the expectation that it was a half way decent movie) I would have been extremely pissed off. A few good things: lots of half-naked girls, the spotting of an obscure Vancouver actress (she was Lila on The Sentinel and a different assassin on Highlander [Ingrid might have been the character's name]), a completely slashy relationship between James West and Artemis Gordon, the line 'No more Mr. Knife guy'. Bad things: Kevin Branaugh doing a bad job on a bad character, Will Smith doing drag badly, the special effects, a completely boring Ulysses S. Grant.

The other movie I saw was What Lies Beneath. Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford do an absolutely bang up job on a thriller where we try to figure out if there's been a death; if so, was it a murder; who it was that might be dead; and whether or not Michelle Pfeiffer's character is losing her mind, being stalked, or being haunted. With the exception of an overly protracted climax (how many times can an antagonist almost die?), they hit every note right in this film. Go watch!
