Try something new!
I decided to try my hand at CSS. How's it look?

I'm innocent!
Toni is operating under some delusion that I am a harsh and vindictive bitch.

<wide-eyed blinking>

Oh, wait, this is me we're talking about, isn't it? Maybe she does have a point.

Well, I don't care if she does precisely the graphics I asked for, but I need something on this page or my story page. I'm tired of looking super duper plain. That is to say, yes, I'm a believer in HTML functionality uber alles, and that my page exists to be a collection of words first and foremost. But, lately, I've thought it would be nice if my stuff could look kinda pretty. I wouldn't do anything crazy like specify font size (I still think that's a bad thing. But it's easy to override colors, if you need a high contrast screen, and it would be nice to have my own personal color scheme, so people could look and say, "hey, that's WitchQueen's slash," or something similar.

Oh, and hon, the randomwalks link is supposed to be passed around. If you'd looked deep in the depths of the source at epiphany or The Breast Chronicles, they have the script. (Although, I admit it's well hidden at the Breast Chronicles, and they don't give a link back to randomwalks. I don't know if it was something she arrived at independently or if she's just not feeling the linkyluv.)

Do work!
I came to work today with the total intent of writing something.

I haven't written anything.

I have, however, HTML'ized my completed stories and done a new 'design' (well, I put it in frames and validated all of the HTML files, but I didn't add any graphics, or fonts, and almost no colors) of my slash site.

I haven't uploaded it yet, though. I'm thinking that maybe I'd be better off doing a table, and letting people go back and forth. Or even using the randomwalks script.

Celebrate friends!
Toni's blog is back, whoopee!

But ephiphany seems to still be missing in action.

Help preserve the new economy!
I've been wanting to vacuum lately. But in order to vacuum, the floor must be relatively clear. So, I was finally getting around to cleaning the floor, when I realized that the videos were a serious barrier to accomplishing this. I have a bunch of videos, and they are strewn across the floor. So I stormed off to K-Mart to buy a media center. It is a cheap-ass, lightweight, pine set of shelves, that desperately cries out to be stained, and I have so far managed to only put a five pack of blanks on it, but I now have a place for my video tapes.

Also, I went and bought some Irish cream. Not Bailey's, but Devonshire, which costs half as much. With the use of my brand new blender (also an impulse purchase, but it happened on Sunday), two old bananas, three scoops of chocolate sorbet, a scoop and a half of peanutbutter, and 4 oz. cream, I'm gettting drunk instead of having dinner tonight. It wasn't really my intention to get drunk, but I don't have enough room in my tummy for the shake and food, and I started on the shake first.

I've been drinking it for the past hour, and I'm still only halfway done.

The floor is only three-quarters clean, but if the cleaning impulse hits again tomorrow, I could actually vacuum then. That would be cool.

Break your promises!
It was my intention, after all of the talk about turning this blog into a 'journal', and deciding mostly against it, that I make sure to write a blog entry every day.

But this going out of town every weekend thing is wreaking havoc with my schedule. sigh

I shall endeavor to do better for the rest of this week, but I'm going to a con this weekend, and I really won't have computer access, unlike being at my parents' or my aunt's, where they do have an internet connection.

Ah well.

P.S. Wrote a complete story today. I'd been feeling bad that I hadn't finished anything in well over a month, and Toni told me to write a fetish kink drabble, and I did.

who am i?

I call myself WitchQueen. I'm not a witch or pagan, and I'm not royalty. But I named myself on the SciFi bulletin board, and I've been that way ever since: a woman whose power lies in shaping her reality with words. I'm a polyamorous (yet single) young black lesbian living in Baltimore and I find that most of my social life revolves around the Net.

what do i do?

I'm a slash fan. I read and write slash, homoerotic stories about characters from television, movies, and other popular media. My current main fandom is Farscape, and my first real fandom was The X-Files. I dabble in a lot of other shows, particularly The Sentinel, Wiseguy, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I watch a lot of TV and tape a fair number of shows.

what's the triumvirate?

We three kings of Orient are....

*cough cough hack hack* Er, sorry, wrong trio. Toni was the first of us to get a blog. As I was going through a period of extreme Toniworship, I knew I had to get one, too. Often in my blog, I would mention the Girl I'm Not Dating (AKA the GIND), because I love her. In the meantime, she and Toni made independent contact. One day I mused aloud about her starting her own blog. Soon after that, she did. And so I (or the other two) may refer to ourselves as the triangle, the trio, and other various "three" words.
