Salon does something clever!

And so does the Idaho Department of Fish & Wildlife. Ain't it wonderful when things are received in the spirit in which they are given? Particularly when compared to someone who clearly doesn't get it.

Enfin, elle bouge!

For the French-impaired, that means, "Finally, she moves!" I made it back to my aerobics class last night. I did not try to do so much as before, and as a consequence, I'm not in so much pain as I was the last time. However, it has been clearly demonstrated to that I have no arm strength and no abdominal muscles whatsoever. Sad, sad, sad.

Also, I realized that I hadn't seen any DCslashers messages in a while. Bad things happen when I fail to read DCS, and lo and behold, a bad thing happened. Anthony Stewart Head was playing Frank N. Furter from Rocky Horror earlier this month on VH1, and I missed it.

And something is wrong with Blogger. Blogger claims my last post, on the 27th, was posted, but I don't think it really was. So, maybe you'll see this post, and maybe you won't.

She speaketh wisdom!

I'm particularly thinking about her sub-point here. The problem with a hologram being the solution to Tuvok's, um, condition is that we have been repeatedly told in the Star Trek universe that telepaths and telempaths don't get anything mentally/emotionally from holograms. My guess is that the nearest human equivalent in casual conversation would be talking to someone, trying to poke them, and discovering your finger went right through. For a more intimate circumstance, more proximate to Tuvok's immediate needs, one might think of performing oral sex on someone and suddenly discovering that you couldn't taste them. Dude, where's the fun in that? More to the point, I thought that the emotional connection was part of what let you fuckyour way out of Ponn Farr. I surprised myself by liking the low key way in which Tom and Tuvok handled the, um, circumstances, but I would have been happier if they'd ended up synthesizing some sort of Vulcan adrenaline or having someone substitute for T'Pel's mind or something, instead of using the holodeck in a way which didn't make sense canonically.

who am i?

I call myself WitchQueen. I'm not a witch or pagan, and I'm not royalty. But I named myself on the SciFi bulletin board, and I've been that way ever since: a woman whose power lies in shaping her reality with words. I'm a polyamorous (yet single) young black lesbian living in Baltimore and I find that most of my social life revolves around the Net.

what do i do?

I'm a slash fan. I read and write slash, homoerotic stories about characters from television, movies, and other popular media. My current main fandom is Farscape, and my first real fandom was The X-Files. I dabble in a lot of other shows, particularly The Sentinel, Wiseguy, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I watch a lot of TV and tape a fair number of shows.

what's the triumvirate?

We three kings of Orient are....

*cough cough hack hack* Er, sorry, wrong trio. Toni was the first of us to get a blog. As I was going through a period of extreme Toniworship, I knew I had to get one, too. Often in my blog, I would mention the Girl I'm Not Dating (AKA the GIND), because I love her. In the meantime, she and Toni made independent contact. One day I mused aloud about her starting her own blog. Soon after that, she did. And so I (or the other two) may refer to ourselves as the triangle, the trio, and other various "three" words.
