deren Gesichter sehen ihm aehnlich by Basingstoke

This is a dueSouth story which places Fraser and Kowalski in an X-Files context. It's simultaneously sad and hopeful, and it's quite pretty.

Wesley Rogue Demon by The Mad Poetess and James Walkswithwind

These two make magic when they write stories together about any of the characters from Angel: The Series. I don't know why they don't grab me so when they write about Buffy characters, or write alone. But this story is a stunning example of their craft and their imagination. What if Wesley wasn't who he claimed to be? How would The Scooby Gang, L.A. Division, help him become whoever he is?

A Garden of Wallflowers by Legion

This solemn little Jim/Blair really affected me because I understand exactly how Jim feels.

And They Dance by James Walkswithwind

This pretty, touching little piece is a different sort of death story. And not just because it's Wesley/Angel, and Angel is already sort of dead.

Domestic Piranhas 8.5: Lost in Translation by The Mad Poetess and James Walkswithwind

The series is Spike/Xander, but there's an Angel/Wesley/Gunn subplot. And any story which is tender and touching and sweet and where Spike serves as a relationship counselor deserves to be read.

Signal to Noise by Betty Plotnick

Jim watches Blair be Blair-like and struggles to find words to let Blair know he doesn't have to try so hard. I'm not sure Betty convinces me that Sandburg's motivation is fear, but her picture of Jim's thought processes is lovely.

Something Like by Sheila

Yet another Wesley/Gunn story wherein Gunn wants to mess up Wesley. But it's still good.

Bough by Sheila

Um. She re-wrote Untouched, the episode with Bethany the telekinetic runaway, from Bethany's POV. It's not slash, but it's extremely powerful

Unbreakable Players by Punk Maneuverability

It's short, and it's funny, and Casey and Dan pull themselves out of a negative situation. Essence of Sports Night

Beyond the Barrier of Snow by Josan

This is a lovely Skinner/Krycek AU. One of the nice things about it is that Krycek is the one with wealth and position at the beginning of this story, and Skinner is the one in dire straits. It starts out with cruelty and bitterness, but it ends in warmth and love.

Everybody Fell by The Brat Queen

This is an Angel story where Wesely is quite British and priggish, The Host is extremely advice columnist-like, and we get really good Dork!Angel. Yum, yum. Some of the dialogue can be a little hard to follow. Angel and Wesley are talking without understanding one another for an extended sequence, it was a little hard to keep track of what they meant to say and what they understood to be said, but it all came clear in the end. Enjoy.

Coterminous by Jane St Clair

This Angel/Buffy crossover is a Wesley/Spike piece. I was really dubious when I read the pairing, because, for one thing, I don't believe Spike and Wesley have ever met canonically. But it was Jane St Clair, so I reserved my opinion and trusted, and it paid off in a wonderful little experience that was literally breathtaking.

A Very Special "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" by Michelle Hansen

This is not a slash story. It's more of a parody of an afterschool special, mixed with a slightly bitter revulsion for Buffy.
