Casey is raped, and Dan has a very typical reaction: supportive, but insane. I sort of disagree with the climax, but as it's over 200k, there's a lot of story that's not climax. And it's not that the climax is badly written, I just think that the thing that everyone in the story thought might happen is more likely to have happened than the climax as written. But the climax as written allows for some cool character stuff that couldn't happen if it went the way I think more likely, so *shrug*. what's this?I picked these fics because they're well-written as well as enjoyable. My recommendation style is esoteric. Sometimes, I'll tell you the premise. Sometimes, I'll tell you the feelings and sensations a story invoked. Sometimes, I'll just encourage you to click on the damn link already and read the bloody story. Most of these stories are slash, meaning stories about your favorite characters from stage and screen being queer (hence fairy tales). Many of these stories are explicit about sex or violence.
